Sheriff's Office employee arrested


William Chase Scott 

 On Saturday, September 13, 2014, the Longview Police Department arrested William Chase Scott for Aggravated Assault Family Violence.  The arrest stems from an incident that occurred earlier in the day at the Tree House Apartments in Longview, Texas where Scott is accused of pointing a firearm in the direction of his girlfriend during an argument.  Scott, who was a jailer with the Gregg County Sheriff's Office at the time of the incident, is currently in the Gregg County Jail with a $20,000 bond for Aggravated Assault Family Violence.  Scott has been discharged from employment with the Gregg County Sheriff's Office.
